Happy birthday, indeed. Jennifer Aniston helped BFF Courteney Cox celebrate her 45th birthday Tuesday night at Bouchon Beverly Hills. Also at the fete: pal Laura Dern and four other pals, a source tells UsMagazine.com. “The group sang happy birthday to Courteney and they cheers-ed a few times,” says the source. “They all seemed to be laughing and having a great time.” Aniston even put up with an overzealous fan who “grabbed her pretty obnoxiously,” the source notes. “[The fan] asked her to take a picture with her. Jennifer kindly took the picture though everyone couldn’t believe how she grabbed her. But Jennifer was very sweet about it.” |

Showbiz Spy is reporting that “Jennifer Aniston has a new man in her life!” And who might that be? Jason Sudeikis of “Saturday Night Live” fame, claims the site. According to Showbiz Spy – and other equally dubious sites – Aniston has “enjoyed a series of secret dates with Jason, who she met last year when they appeared in The Bounty Hunter together.” Showbiz Spy notes, “During filming, Jen and Jason’s relationship was strictly platonic because Sudeikis was still married. However, now the actor is divorced and… the pair have taken things to the next level.” The blog even trots out an unnamed “source” who says Aniston’s “thrilled” to be dating Sudeikis, and that she “finds him hilarious.” Actually, what’s hilarious is that Showbiz Spy printed this inaccurate story, and Lemming-like sites such as Hollyscoop and Perez Hilton similarly jumped off journalism’s cliff – and crashed. Aniston’s rep, who had no idea where this erroneous report came from, tells Gossip Cop that talk of the actress dating Sudeikis is “completely false – she hasn’t even seen Jason since filming.” |

Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Colin Farrell are in talks to star in New Line’s long-in-development workplace comedy “Horrible Bosses.” Farrell’s just been attached with Marion Cotillard to topline David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis,” an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel. Day’s in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” and will be seen in New Line’s romantic comedy “Going the Distance.” Studio’s hoping to shoot “Bosses” this summer in Los Angeles. Project was set up in early 2005 with New Line snapping up Michael Markowitz’s spec script for mid-six figures with Brett Ratner and Jay Stern producing. “Bosses” revolves around a trio of long-suffering friends who team up to murder their overbearing bosses with disastrous results, in the style of “Throw Mama From the Train.” New Line attached Seth Gordon to direct after he helmed “Four Christmases” for the shingle. The team of Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley rewrote the script. Aniston was most recently seen with Gerard Butler in Sony’s comedy “The Bounty Hunter.” She and Bateman co-star in romantic comedy “The Switch” for Miramax. |

Jennifer Aniston is in talks to director her first full-feature film! “Jennifer intends to direct a film but this is very premature as nothing has been confirmed and the projects that that she is considering are still very early in the writing process of development,” Jen’s publicist, Stephen Huvane, confirms to HollywoodLife.com. The 41-year-old actress told The Sun that she was making the leap from actress to director April 19. “I have a project in development I’m going to direct,” she allegedly told the UK paper. “After you get enough movies under your belt you sit back and go, ‘What’s next?’ It’s getting to a time where creatively I want to turn in a different direction.” |

Sheryl Crow is on the prowl -– for Jennifer Aniston. The singer, who recently shot a three-episode guest spot on Cougar Town with Courteney Cox, says she would love to have her longtime pal Aniston appear on the show, too. “She’d be great at anything. I mean, my gosh. Who wouldn’t want to see Jennifer Aniston and Courteney again?” Crow told PEOPLE at the 12th Annual Forces for Nature Benefit Gala at Chelsea Piers in New York Thursday. While there are currently no known plans for Aniston to appear on Cox’s Cougar Town, Crow says she’d be intimidated — and excited -– by the chance to share the screen with the two veteran actresses. “I’d be way out of my league but how lovely,” she said. Crow could relate to her sassy character, Sara, because she was “a bit of a smart ass,” says the singer, who describes the experience as “a blast!” “It was three episodes and we shot for three weeks and I loved it,” she said. “I love Courteney and I loved everyone on the cast, they were just so great. Nice way to spend your time.” – Mary Park |
